WS 2025-26 Race 4: Cambridge results

There was a great turnout of 128 competitors for the Cambridge race, including a large number from the home club.

As well as the usual faces, it was good to welcome back Hemel Hempstead CC, Paddlesport Racers Association (based in Milton Keyes) and Viking KC (Bedford) to the series.

Although there were fewer C2s than usual and only one GP,  the two C1/SUP classes attracted a total of 8 entries.

The MRC have confirmed that there were no promotions as a result of this race.

There was rain from roughly the first start to the last paddler finishing, but Cambridge CC made good use of their new and (as yet) empty extension to provide shelter for serving the refreshments and the prizegiving.

The event was won by Chelmsford CC (100 points), with Cambridge CC second (95) and Bishops Stortford CC third (93).  In the Dick Grieve competition for novice juniors (Div 9 and below), Cambridge CC were first (39 points), Chelmsford CC second (20) and Bishops Stortford third (19).
