The Flatwater Racing Association takes your privacy seriously.
In summary, we process the following personal data for our legitimate interests in coordinating the Winter and Summer Series:
  • basic contact details for Team Leaders and for independent paddlers taking responsibility for their own participation
  • competitor's entry details (mainly name, club, age, gender, boat type, ranking status, whether racing as PaddleAbility)
  • photographs taken at races
  • either BC membership details or the details required for BC Event Insurance (when not covered by your club's BC-Affiliation)
  • contact details for Race Organisers and FRA Committee Members
  • contact details for holders of perpetual trophies (where they are not from FRA-Member clubs)
Some contact details may occasionally be shared, e.g. Team Leaders/Independents contact detail may be shared with the staff of a particular event where necessary.  Entry details are used to compile the race results which are published on our website as a record of athletic achievement. Results and photos taken at races may be published on our website, social media and in the press to promote the series and the sport.
You have the right to object to this processing. Please contact the FRA Secretary if you wish to raise any concerns or would like to know what information we hold about you.
