SS 2018, Regatta 2: Cheshunt HYMB

Herts Young Mariners Base hosted the second of the Summer Series Regattas on 10 June. Forty-three paddlers from seven different clubs took part.

Two sets of 500m heats took place on the river, then everyone transferred to the lake for two sets of 200m heats.

After the main competition there was a BBQ. Those who still had some energy left took part in K2 and K4 racing on the lake.

The day was brought to a close by the prize-giving.

Sen Ladies - Catherine Robinson (BSF)
Sen Men - Ashley Townend (LBZ)

The next event in the series will be the Stortford Regatta on 9th September. The re-scheduled Chelmsford Regatta is now planned for the 23rd September and will include the presentation of the series awards.
