SS 2022: B. Stortford Regatta

Although only one FRA regatta took place this year, the attendance of 49 paddlers was in line with pre-covid numbers. All the clubs in the FRA sent teams, and it was also pleasing to see a small group  from Hemel.

The briefing was followed by a minute's silence  for the late Queen. The morning's racing comprised two 500m distances, one 1000m. and then two 200m. In the afternoon there were some singles relays for fun.

The day was also Bishops Stortford Canoe Club's celebration of 50 years since it was established. After the prizegiving, everyone was invited to share a glass of bubbly and have a slice of celebration cake.
