SS 2019, Regatta 3: Cheshunt HYMB

There was perfect summer paddling weather and a lovely relaxed atmosphere at the Herts Young Mariners Base for the third regatta of the season.

As usual there were two sets of 500m heats on the river, then everyone transferred to the lake for two sets of 200m heats.

After the lunch break it was time for the K2 and K4 racing.

You only have to look at the photos to see how much the paddlers - who ranged from high division paddlers to youngsters brand new to the sport - all enjoyed racing the crew boats.

Eventually, everyone was persuaded to get off the water, so that they could collect their medals.

The final event in the series will be the Stortford Regatta on 8th September, when the award for the series will also be presented. To be eligible for a series award you need to have attended at least two regattas in the series. See the current standings on the Series results page.
