SS 2017, Regatta 2: B. Stortford

Heavy weed growth on both the Chelmer and Lea prevented the two regattas planned for the summer months  going ahead as scheduled, making the Stortford event only the second of the series.

The recent change in the weather left many feeling rather chilly, but at least the rain held off and there were plenty of hot drinks and a warming BBQ to be had.

Single races were held over 500m, 200m, and a good proportion of the competitors took part in the 500m and 2000m K2 races.

There was a good turnout from u16 boys, with Finn, Murdo and David G so evenly matched that the class ended up being a three-way tie.

u18 Boys - Lawrence Minter (HYM)
u23 Men - Matt Parkes (BSF)
Sen Ladies - Catherine Robinson (BSF)
Vet Men - Mitch Barclay (BSF)
PaddleAbility - Mikey Landowski (HYM)
